May 26th - Philly Freedom Skate

Gatorback Skate has started our beta testing program.

Mark Sibert and Dave Wysochanski tested the Gator Leash system at the Philly Freedom Skate. The Gatorleash provides dramatic increases to stopping power and control while braking on speed skates.

Feedback from Dave and Mark was very positive. Both skaters mastered the system in a short amount of time.

"While I felt that I could brake adequately before I got the GatorLeash, I noticed a definite increase in stopping power due to the increased leverage. It didn't take long at all to get used to using the GatorLeash either. Another pleasant surprise was reduced fatigue in my shin and foot muscles -- without the GatorLeash, braking really stresses those muscles quite a bit. But now with the GatorLeash, I can totally relax those muscles when braking, and save that energy for skating!"

-Mark Sibert

"The Philly Freedom Skate provided a perfect venue for testing the new leverage system from Gatorbackskate, since there were a number of stops and quick turns at the bottom of hills on most of the routes. When I came to one of these sharp turning points, I would often pass a number of people on speedskates that were T-stopping down the hills because few if any of them could match the stopping power of the leverage system I was using. I felt a lot safer during the city skates because of the confidence I gained in the leveraged braking system."

-Dave Wysochanski

The beta program puts us one step closer to getting the brake system on the market.
