First Gatorback Brake Prototype

Tested in the Texas Road Rash Marathon!!!

On March 20th Gatorback Skate made history testing the patent pending GatorStop system in the first major event of the 2005 Pro Marathon race season.

Professional inline speed skater Mark "the Duck" Farnsworth used our system to finish 5th place with a time of 1:15:36 (20.8 mph) for the 26 mile course.

Mark commented, "Everyone else had to slow down early when a sharp curve was comming...I was able to go full speed until right before the turn, then I used the brake to slow me at the last second. This gave me a big advantage when passing people and allowed me to skate with the leaders while spending less energy."

Gatorback will continue testing the brake in the next few months. Look for us at the Orlando Marathon and other big events this year.
